Longboat Rowing

Join us out on the water in our Celtic Longboat Slipper Spirit. Everyone is welcome and no prior knowledge is required. Rowing is increasingly popular in the harbour and there are a number of other clubs that have the same Celtic Longboat including, Dell Quay, Chichester, Itchenor and Langstone Cutters. Our boat has been made possible through the volunteering and 'self-help' attitude from members across the club - which truly is 'Slipper Spirit'.

There are six places on board: Cox, 4 rowers and a passenger. Each 'row' takes place under the guidance of an experienced cox and two experienced rowers, allowing room for two or three members to join in and learn. Please wear suitable footwear for getting your feet wet during lanching and recovery.

Dates for planned outings are published in the club calendar and each seat can be booked. There will be a small charge of £2 per seat.

There will also be an opportunity to compete against other clubs in the harbour and further afield.
